IS MICROSURFER SPYWARE?

Short answer: MicroSurfer is NOT spyware.

What is spyware?
Whatis.com, gives the following definition of spyware: "In general, spyware is any technology that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge. On the Internet, spyware is programming that is put in someone's computer to secretly gather information about the user and relay it to advertisers or other interested parties..."

Is MicroSurfer spyware?
MicroSurfer is not spyware. Neither MicroSurfer Player Edition nor MicroSurfer Plus Edition spies on users. We do not collect any information on where you surf with MicroSurfer and the information that we collect during registration (your name and email address) is not shared with anyone outside of our company. Furthermore, MicroSurfer does not install any third-party software on your system.

Is MicroSurfer adware?
The MicroSurfer Player has the ability to display messages at the top of your browser for pages it delivers. We occasionally use this feature to make you aware of upgrades and special offers. We currently do not include third party advertising in the product. Please note that the MicroSurfer Plus upgrade does not have the ability to display messages.

How do MicroSurfer make money?
We make money solely on those users who upgrade to MicroSurfer Plus. By upgrading to MicroSurfer Plus you not only support us, you also get many valuable features.
