Follow the download links http://www.microsurfer.com/download.html to download MicroSurfer. You may need to select Save File in your browser.  You will then be prompted for the location you wish to save the file. Press Ok, or save it to whatever folder you wish. 

Once downloading completes, if there is an Open File button, click on it.  Otherwise, find the file by selecting Find in the Windows Start menu, choose Files or Folders, type ms_setup.exe into the Named field and click the Find Now button.   Double click on ms_setup.exe in the lower window to start the installation process.  Follow the onscreen instructions. 

Once the installation is complete, you can start MicroSurfer by clicking the MicroSurfer shortcut on your desktop.  Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.  The first time you start MicroSurfer you will see the Registration Wizard.  Follow the onscreen instructions to register MicroSurfer.

When MicroSurfer starts, it verifies that your browser is set to use its cache and if it isn’t, the MicroSurfer Startup Dialog is displayed, giving you the option to automatically update your browser settings.  Next, MicroSurfer clears your browser’s cache of old and unneeded web pages.  This makes your browser run more efficiently and frees up hard disk space.

The first time you start MicroSurfer, it will automatically open the MicroSurfer Getting Started Tour (you can also start it by selecting  Getting Started Tour from the MicroSurfer Help menu).  The status icon next to a link turns green when it is fully downloaded.  Once the first few links are downloaded, click on the Next button in the MicroSurfer toolbar to go to the next page and play through the tour. You will be guided through an animated demo that will show you the key features of MicroSurfer.

Congratulations.  You are now ready to use MicroSurfer to explore the wonders of the Web at a whole new level.  With MicroSurfer, it is actually fun to explore links to new sites and there is an endless supply of sites on the web.  Go to your favorite portal or starting page, or visit http://www.microsurfer.com/links.html for a list of sites to start from and surf away!
