To take advantage of MicroSurfer's link caching, the Settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer must be set correctly before you begin using MicroSurfer.
To get to the Internet Explorer Settings Dialog:
From the Internet Explorer "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options" to bring up the Internet Explorer Options Dialog.
On the "General" Tab of the Options Dialog, click the "Settings" button to bring up the Settings Dialog.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 & 6 Cache Settings
Important: Make sure the option "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" is set to either "Never" or "Automatically". If this option is not set to one of these two choices, Internet Explorer will not display the pages that MicroSurfer downloaded, and instead will re-download them from the Internet each time they are displayed. If a setting other than "Never" or "Automatically" is used, make sure you also un-check the MicroSurfer option "Warn me if my browser settings are wrong (recommended)" so that the MicroSurfer Startup Dialog is not displayed each time you start MicroSurfer.
Note: We prefer the setting "Never" to the setting "Automatically" on Internet Explorer 5 and above when using MicroSurfer so that cached pages display faster. When the option "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" is set to "Never" and you browse to a Web page that is already in your browser's cache, the cached copy is displayed by your browser. Use your browser's "Refresh" button to re-download the page from the Internet if you suspect it has been updated since the last time you viewed it.
Increasing Cache Size in Internet Explorer 5 & 6
We recommend that you increase the size of your browser's cache to allow MicroSurfer to cache more links in the same session. We recommend that the amount of disk space to use be set anywhere from 8-64 MB. Make sure you have enough hard disk space to support your new cache size.
