Overview
Advanced research skills are critical to success in a range of
businesses but there are very few places one can go to gain the
skills needed for advanced research.
This
two-day, hands-on workshop is for professionals who use the Internet on a regular basis and want to take their research
skills and tools to a whole new level of effectiveness. Exploring little
known techniques and resources we embark on a new look at web
research and how to make it more efficient and effective for a
variety of tasks.
Participants learn how to get more of what they want, less of what
they don't want and to do it faster than ever before possible.
This
is not a rehash of the same old research techniques that are all too
familiar to professional researchers. We only briefly touch on the
basics and ninety-percent of the workshop covers entirely new
material offering a fresh approach to acquiring information on the
web that yields better results in a fraction of the time.
Taught
with numerous examples and leading edge software tools available
nowhere else, this workshop gives information professionals the
skills and resources that they need to be massively productive when
using the web in a variety of tasks.
