To remove MicroSurfer from your system, select Uninstall MicroSurfer from the MicroSurfer Programs Group or run the program UNINST.EXE located in the MicroSurfer install directory.
Alternatively, you can use the Windows Uninstaller to uninstall MicroSurfer. To access the Windows Uninstaller, open the Control Panel by selecting Settings from the Windows Start menu. Next, select Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel. When the Add/Remove Programs dialog appears, select MicroSurfer from the list of installed programs and click the Add/Remove button.
With the user's permission at installation, MicroSurfer changes the Internet Explorer setting Check for newer versions of stored pages to Never for Internet Explorer 4 or Automatically for Internet Explorer 5 and above. If you would like to change your browser settings to get pages from the Internet instead of your browser's cache, follow these instructions:
For Internet Explorer, open the Internet Options dialog (from the Tools menu in Internet Explorer 5 and 6 or the View menu in Internet Explorer 4), click Settings on the General tab and change the option Check for newer versions of stored pages from Never or Automatically to one of the other options listed.
For Netscape, open the Preferences dialog (from the Netscape 4 Edit menu or Netscape 3 Options menu), select the Cache page and change the option Document in cache is compared to document on network (called Verify Documents in Netscape 3) from Never to Every time.
